Regular meetings

Regular meetings are held on the first Monday of the month, September through June. Occasionally this changes because of holidays, visit our calendar to be sure. There are no meetings in July and August.

Place
Meetings are held at the Big Flats Community Center, 476 Maple Street, Big Flats, NY.

Time
Class begins at 10:00 am. The room is open from 9:30 to 10:00 for a social half-hour. Please arrive early enough that you are seated and ready to stitch by 10:00. The business portion of the meeting begins at noon. Those not taking a class may bring another project to stitch on.

Lunch
Bring a bag lunch and cup. Coffee and tea are provided.

Nametag
Each member must wear a stitched nametag to meetings. Failure to do so will result in a 50 cent fine. New members have three months to stitch a nametag before a fine applies. Money collected from the fines goes into our library book fund.

Guests
We welcome prospective members and guests at any time of the year. Prospective members are invited to attend two meetings free, except for the cost of the project kit, if desired. To encourage membership in EGA there is a charge of $5 for non-members for every meeting after the first two.

Dues

Dues are $43.00 per year. $32.00 goes to National EGA and includes a subscription to Needle Arts. $2.00 goes to Mid-Eastern Region. $9 supports our local chapter.

Sew-ins
Sew-ins are held at members' homes on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Bring a bag lunch; the hostess will provide dessert and beverage. See the calendar for the date and hostess of upcoming sew-ins. Look for a map in Corning Needle News.
